01
Can you take NCLEX in United Arab Emirates?
The official NCLEX international-location list checked on October 6, 2026 does not list United Arab Emirates or the other five GCC states. Use the NCLEX-specific locator and confirm an actual appointment. A general Pearson VUE centre advertising other tests is not proof that it offers NCLEX.
The published international list includes locations such as Jordan, India and the Philippines. These are examples to investigate, not a recommendation or a promise of available seats or permission to enter. Check the live appointment and travel rules that apply to your passport.
02
Eligibility, registration, ATT and booking
Apply to the destination nursing regulator and register with Pearson VUE as instructed. The regulator decides exam eligibility; Pearson issues the Authorization to Test (ATT) once the required eligibility and registration steps are in place.
ATT means permission to book within the dates shown on that document. Read your own validity window. Do not assume that a school completion certificate, a Gulf licence or a payment receipt is an ATT. Confirm the appointment date, centre address and examination type in the actual booking.
- Destination regulator has confirmed the required eligibility
- Pearson registration details match the application and ID
- ATT received, with its valid-from and valid-until dates checked
- Actual NCLEX appointment confirmed within that window
03
Check identification and travel separately
NCSBN’s acceptable-ID page requires physical, unexpired identification and lists a passport book or card for international test centres. It also sets name, photograph and signature requirements. Read the complete rules, including name changes, rather than assuming a local residence card alone will be accepted.
Your right to live in United Arab Emirates does not automatically give you permission to enter the country where the test centre is located. Check the destination government’s visa or entry requirements for your own nationality, transit and travel dates. Keep these immigration checks separate from NCLEX eligibility.
- Passport and registered first/last names checked against the ID rule
- Appointment confirmation, centre address and local start time
- Entry and transit permission checked through official government guidance
- Work leave and return travel arranged
- Fees and refundable travel options considered before booking
04
If your appointment needs to change
Follow the current Pearson and NCSBN scheduling rules and the instructions in the confirmation. International appointment changes require contacting Pearson Candidate Services under the published testing-location guidance. Do not rely on a study app to cancel or reschedule your exam.
Treat exam payments, travel bookings and RN Clarity subscriptions as three different purchases with different terms. A cancelled trip does not automatically create an exam-fee refund. Review the official fees and refund rules before paying.
05
Know how results will arrive
The nursing regulator provides the official result and decides the remaining registration steps. Pearson Quick Results is an unofficial service for eligible US licensure candidates; it is not the Canadian registration results route. Do not interpret a registration pop-up or question count as an official result.
If a retake is needed, follow the destination regulator’s rules and the official NCLEX process. Use any Candidate Performance Report to select the next learning priorities instead of repeating every topic equally.
